US Auto Sales for Dec. and 2008
Results of 2008 auto sales in the US market came to add bad news to their miserable future expectations. The table (below) shows the percentage of change in sales of December 2008 comparing to Dec. 2007, also it shows the change of year of 2008 sales comparing to 2007.
It is a clear that it is difficult to say they will survive without the US government support. In order to survive they have to cut production of 2009 and give more incentives to come over this crisis. Financing such a plan cannot be done from the financial markets since that market has a shortage in credit. In addition, the cost of financing the plans of 2009 would be very high comparing to it in the stable market period.
